HOPE FLOATS

This year, for Panda Express’ Lunar New Year Special, we wanted to celebrate the holiday in a classic, timeless style. Paying homage to the animated holiday classics we all grew up with, we embraced 2D animation. The process was so much fun, and we enjoyed the ability to create character styles and art direction from the ground up.

It was important to us to craft a story that felt universal, resonating with an Asian-American audience, as well as looping in the community within the story. We felt very happy with the results and loved how everything turned out. Enjoy.
